A Hex update

Things have been crazy busy since we opened up our Hex nail jewelry (my sister & I's) Etsy shop. Which is why I've been so tardy and absent on here. Trying to juggle blogging, the shop, school, and sleep (sleep is def a priority of mine) has been a challenge but most certainly an amazing one. Especially having had the opportunity to team up with some of our favorite nail artists. I've been admiring them for some time now and to be able to collaborate with them has been unbelievable to say the least. I've been on cloud nine ever since, and I ain't coming down.

One of the nail artists that was kind enough to represent our new line is Sarah from Chalkboard nails. She couldn't have done a more amazing job! She showed off our charms with three magnificent styles. We love love love the gold leaf paired with our gold plated dolla sign. Go to her website to see what polishes she used and for more information on how to apply our charms. Also don't forget to enter the giveaway at the bottom of her post to win some free goodies for yourself!

The girls from Polishyoupretty did an amazing job with their "Buzz off" look. We love that they toped it off with our bee charm. Follow their blog to get the best reviews and tutorials on products. These girls know their stuff!

& Lastly but definitely not least. The fabulous Jessica Washick of "U don't need a man, U need a manicure" did wonders with our unicorn, Fuck you, and Bitch charm. She always tops herself off, seriously don't know how she does it.

We are so grateful to have had the chance to work with such prime ladies. Couldn't have asked for better! Thanks again!

Cheers!

D.i.y Valentines day balloon card

Valentine's day is coming way to fast & even though I've prepared for it. I feel completely unprepared and lazy to do anything about it. I prefer hand making my cards than purchasing them. I feel the process is way funner than hunting for a card that last minute thats both personal and clever. The majority of the times I end up just grabbing any ol thing and just convince myself its the best thing ever. Well not this time.

#1. One of the downloadable templates below

#2. Heart balloon
#3. Double sided tape

Step one: After cutting the card and folding it in half, place the heart balloon on top, and secure with double sided tape. You can either leave the balloon as is or blow it up and write a message for your loved one!

These heart balloons were a blast to play with. They look like kitties when I started blowing them up. I was so tempted to draw little faces on them but then I'd ruin the purpose of these templates. Any who head on over to Borondyspurpleplanet to enter her lovely valentines day giveaway!

Cheers!

Friday fingers // HEX nail jewelry

I've been keeping a little secret from all of you, but now that the cat is out of the bag I'm ready to share! Last week I was given an amazing opportunity to start an Etsy shop with my sissy. I can not express how exciting this has all been. I've been like a kid at a candy shop with all these 14K Gold/Silver plated  charms. We've only got a few up on our Etsy shop but will continue to add more through the months, holidays, and seasons so keep your eyes peeled my friends. Also for those of you interested in the little jems we will be giving away a charm to the first 50 purchases!

Love struck is our Valentines day collection. I absolutely love cupids arrow and our four of hearts (bottom right).

Out of all of our collections I must say that "talk to the hand" has got to be my favorite. They are so sassy & fun! I can't wait to share the rest of our collections with you all! In the mean time take a peak, and click here.

Cheers!
